The project consisted of performing a hydro-demo process to the top of the existing bridge deck, installing additional reinforcing bars and placing a new deck overlay.  Other work included installing two block retaining walls, constructing new sidewalks, three new approach slabs, repair of cracks and spalls underneath the bridge, installation of a throw fence, throw screen and pedestrian handrails.  A new storm water conveyance system was installed under and along the side of the Chestnut and Bay St Bridge to a new storm filter vault.
