This project provided a complete makeover of Frostad Road and portions of various adjoining side streets. The project consisted of road widening, considerable drainage improvements including stormwater treatment, wire truss retaining walls, wetland construction, paving, striping and new guardrail. The most significant feature of work was the installation of over 30,000 SF of retaining walls, up to 18 feet tall, which were necessary in order to widen the roadway within existing county right-of-way. These walls occurred in 15 different locations and used spiral nails to support the new wall face.
