As a result of this project's success, EVRAZ Portland earned the 2016 Environmental Excellence Award as presented by Associated Oregon Industries (AOI) and Northwest Environmental Business Council (NEBC). 

The work was completed over the 2015 and 2016 construction seasons and improved a one-third mile stretch of the Willamette River.
